A.E. Engine is seeking individuals to join our team as an assistant editor. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the editorial department with project management and desktop publishing responsibilities for a variety of publishing projects.

An assistant editor’s daily responsibilities include: serving as the customer’s primary production contact, serving as the customer liaison to the design department, and handling extensive page layout and proofing.

A proficiency in Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress is mandatory. Also, a general understanding of publication production is required. Writing and copyediting skills are also required as are strong customer service skills.

Eligible candidates must have a minimum of one year experience, preferably in a similar environment, and possess a four-year degree in a related major.

A.E. Engine is seeking an assistant graphic designer. This exciting position will present a motivated, innovative designer with the chance to experience a wide range of opportunities.

Candidates must have professional web and print graphics experience and must have a working knowledge of industry-standard design programs.

Candidates must be able to present a portfolio of work prior to the interview.

We are seeking an individual that has experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Web design experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Web programming experience is also a plus, but not required.

We are seeking an individual that has strong graphic design and layout skill, has had formal training in art and/or graphic design, is capable of image editing and is able to handle herself or himself in front of the customer and with other members of the A.E. Engine team.

A.E. Engine is seeking aggressive, career-minded print advertising account executives. A.E. Engine is primarily interested in independent or third-party representation, but is also seeking individuals to add to its in-house sales team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for: creating new relationships in new markets, developing new sales leads to grow an existing market and maintaining relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential advertising accounts.

We are seeking individuals with a college degree and at least one year of sales experience -- print advertising or related field preferred. An ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment is also required. While an ability to sell via the phone is crucial, face-to-face appointments may also be required, therefore a professional presentation is necessary.
