Job Description: The multimedia intern will work with an A.E. Engine staff member to develop programs to help extend the reach of specific projects across a variety of mediums. The intern will be responsible for helping to populate a number of Facebook and Twitter accounts owned by A.E. Engine. The intern will be able to assist in aspects of editorial development across a number of different publications and write weekly press releases for a number of different websites. Additionally, the intern will become well versed in magazine publishing, to include writing/editing, graphic design and production. Job Qualifications: 1. Intern will report to a dedicated staff member during the internship period. 2. Intern will assist in the development and execution of a social media strategy related to current projects. 3. Intern will assist in the development of magazine and website content, including writing and editing. 4. Intern will assist in the development and execution of weekly news releases to be published on various A.E. Engine owned websites. 5. Full-time, part-time and contract positions available A.E. Engine is seeking aggressive, career-minded print advertising account executives. A.E. Engine is primarily interested in independent or third-party representation, but is also seeking individuals to add to its in-house sales team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for: creating new relationships in new markets, developing new sales leads to grow an existing market and maintaining relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential advertising accounts. We are seeking individuals with a college degree and at least one year of sales experience -- print advertising or related field preferred. An ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment is also required. While an ability to sell via the phone is crucial, face-to-face appointments may also be required, therefore a professional presentation is necessary. Intern will work with graphic designers to assist on a variety of projects. This could range from cutting out photos in Photoshop to laying out sections of a publication on your own. 4. Intern will participate in staff meetings and gain experience in interacting in a professional environment. 5. Intern must be versed in the following Adobe programs: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Dreamweaver and Flash is a plus, but not required. 6.
